Audi ECU cloning assessment, DSG / S tronic and automatic-transmission controller services, programming and electrical diagnostics. Coverage is matched to the actual ECU / TCU rather than the badge alone.
Transmission control unit cloning, where supported
Programming, coding and replacement-unit setup
Drive-authorization fault assessment
Common enquiries
Used transmission or TCU will not match the vehicle
Gear selection unavailable after a battery problem
Transmission control-unit communication or authorization faults
Audi gearbox & TCU families
Cloning, renewal, programming and matching are different operations. This catalogue identifies the controller families we can assess; the exact unit and available original data determine the job.

Cloning assessment
DL800 / newer DSG generations
Identification and access check; cloning not assumed
A matched controller, not just a matched gearbox
Send the original and donor TCU labels. Hardware, software and immobilizer generation determine the data-transfer and adaptation route.
BEFORE WE BOOK
Send the VIN, TCU label, hardware/software numbers and fault report. The transmission family alone does not confirm service compatibility. Electronic work is assessed separately from internal mechanical repairs.
Program, code and match compatible modules to the vehicle
Common enquiries
Original control unit damaged or not communicating
Replacement ECU fitted but the vehicle will not start
A used donor needs data transfer or matching
Audi ECU / DME cloning catalogue
Engine-control families for compatible donor-data transfer and replacement assessment. Identify the original and replacement by part number, hardware and software before supplying a unit.

EDC17 variants with later immobilizer levels, MD1 and MG1 controllers require an individual service-route check. Read/write support alone does not establish full cloning.
Original unit + donor unit
Recoverable original data and compatible donor hardware determine the available route. Some cases require virginizing and adaptation rather than a direct clone.
BEFORE WE BOOK
Send photos of both labels and say whether the original unit still communicates. A donor with a similar casing or connector is not enough to establish compatibility.
Can you clone every controller with this family name?
No. Hardware, software, immobilizer generation, donor compatibility and readable original data determine the available operation. Send both labels and the scan report.
What is the difference between cloning and virginizing?
Cloning transfers supported original data to a compatible replacement. Virginizing / renewal prepares a supported used unit for a separate matching or personalization process. Programming or coding configures software and vehicle functions.
What should I send for a quote?
The VIN, fault codes, original and donor labels, symptoms and work already completed. Tell us whether the original control unit still communicates.
Controller coverage references
Family listings were checked against manufacturer documentation on 2 November 2026. They identify assessment categories and do not replace a check of the actual unit.
